Biography
Namrata Rao is an Indian film editor working primarily in Hindi cinema.
She obtained a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology before studying film editing at the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute.
Her editing credits include Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!, Ishqiya, Band Baaja Baaraat, Ladies vs Ricky Bahl, and Kahaani.
She received the Filmfare Award for Best Editing for Love Sex Aur Dhokha and the National Film Award and Filmfare Award for Best Editing for Kahaani.
She also directed the 2024 documentary Angry Young Men.
